Game Review: Assassins Creed 2

Assassins Creed 2 takes place in to different time periods. Your main character is that of Desmond. A new member of an ancient group of assassins. A direct sequel to Assassins Creed, you spend a majority of the time in the animus machine. This machine lets you play as Desmond's ancestor Ezio Auditorre. Now Ezio is the true hero in this tale. Ezio stars as the charismatic acrobatic and defiant young assassins thrown into a battle against the legendary Templar and watching his father and family murdered.  He sets off to make a change. A nice bit of Anarchy is involved. Set in the early years of Italy the scenic view itself makes the game worth wild.

The gameplay looks and plays beautifully from scaling atop buildings to leaps of faith and who can forget those hidden blades. Filled with an exciting main storyline it also has plenty of side tasks to do. If you are like myself and a true gamer the platinum is not hard to get. There are puzzles to solve and combat related trophies, as well as collectibles. If you do have any issues with any trophies then your probably just not trying hard enough.

As for the rating I give Assassins Creed 2 4 stars. The 5 star rating was not given because like the God of war series the camera has a habit to change on you mid jump/climbing often times causing you to jump the totally different direction. It is also sad that this is not a ps3 only game. Along with Assassins Creed, there is also Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Revelations. After playing part 2 I am very excited to try out the other ones
